Getting ready for the new academic year, it suddenly hits me that I am already in secondary 6 and graduated from HTPS five years ago. It’s hard to believe that so much time has passed; I still vividly remember my days in HTPS! As I head into the last year in St Stephen’s College, I start thinking about what it was like in my last two years of primary school.
I entered HTPS as a new primary 5 student along with my younger brother who was entering primary 2 in 2015. Back then, I was the girl with good grades and my brother was the boy who would give everyone headaches. Despite being siblings, no one ever pressured my brother to be like me. It is a blessing that we could flourish in our ways in HTPS.
The person I would thank the most is Ms. Fu. I didn’t know what to expect on the new student’s orientation day. After the day, what stuck with me the most was when Ms. Fu told me she was sure I could make new friends. Her words gave me the confidence to play with my schoolmates in the new environment, enriching my primary school life. At the same time, Ms. Fu’s care also nurtured me to become a better person. I cannot imagine my life in HTPS without Ms. Fu.
Looking back, a student’s happiness simply stems from the love and support from teachers. I am immensely grateful for being able to find this happiness at HTPS.
